Bathroom cabinets with a Mexican or rustic style are hard to find.
I would like to find an antique cabinet… just the right size for 2 sinks and in great shape that I could refurbish with sinks and a counter.
Just try to find that without paying a mint in pesos!
I ran into a similar problem when remodeling the guest bathroom.
I needed the cabinet to be a specific height and width. And… I wanted it to look like an old Spanish style homes relic. Easy… NOT!
I had that bathroom cabinet custom built. It does look like an antique chest from deep in Mexico. But… it cost the moon.
Now… I need a vanity for the master bathroom remodel, with the same specifications.
I want it to look like an antique hacienda style piece of furniture, but I need it to be a specific height, width and length. This time, it needs to be a double sink.
I know I could use two single sink Mexican Bathroom Vanities like this one, but the Spanish Hacienda style calls for larger furniture.
This Carved Mexican Vanity would be perfect for those that are looking for a hacienda single wood bathroom vanity
I love the way this vanity is carved – haven’t found it in a double sink size.
The cabinet pictured at the top of this page – is one that does resemble and antique sideboard. The two rounded bow fronts are really nice looking and it just looks like a piece of furniture.
Considering that I may use natural colored stone for the floors it would look great if I find tile that doesn’t clash with the Travertine Marble top that comes with this vanity.
The faucets do not come with this Spanish Style Bathroom Cabinet… but with the cabinet, counter and sinks all included… it’s a deal.
Here is another bit of information about choosing a genuine or imitation antique bathroom cabinet:

Choosing antique bathroom vanity is a serious matter though. You simply do not go in a shop and but the first piece you see. Selection involves factors such as price, design, functionality, type of wood, age, and even the manufacturer.
Basically, when selecting the piece, you are caught between this question: “Should I go for the genuine vanity or should I buy antique design vanity? Unsuspecting buyers may think that every vanity, as long as they look “antique” is the same. The truth however is that both have different qualities.
So what’s the difference between authentic antique vanity and antique-design vanity?

Try Tres Amigos. I have brought several sideboards and have converted them into bathroom vanites from there. Otherwise you could try El Paso imports
i have black marble in my kitchen for worktops, they look really good.
Maybe they are not as antique as you may want, but you could find some ideas.
That is one stylish vanity cabinet. I recently upgraded my bedroom vanity and boy do I wish I had stumbled on this sooner!
Don’t forget the vanity top .
The authentic Spanish style vanity top has those wonderful hand made tiles
that have been a clssic look for generations.
This combined with natural Bocote wood is the complete look of old Mexico.
Definetly a stylish cabinet that is worth thinking about when trying to design your bathroom. The spanish style will make any bathroom stand out I’m sure but I think that the only problem people might have is finding other furniture for their home to fit. Either way it’s a great idea if someone is looking to spice up their bathroom design and add some Mexican design and style into their home.
Good post, keep it up!
